Permanent eyebrow makeup (or tattooing) is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures of recent years. However, the result is not always successful or meets expectations. Color, shape, pigment density, changing trends or simply natural skin aging can make permanent makeup undesirable. In such cases, laser eyebrow tattoo removal is the best solution.
Why remove permanent makeup?
According to international studies, up to 30-40% of clients who have had permanent makeup subsequently seek its correction or removal. This is especially true for the eyebrow area, because it:
is in a prominent location
is subject to natural facial expressions,
quickly "reveals" any mistakes or asymmetry.
In addition with poor quality eyebrow tattooing, the following are often observed:
gray-blue, greenish, reddish shades,
excessively wide or unnatural shapes,
superposition of several layers of different pigment,
deep introduction of paint.
All this requires not cosmetic correction, but professional medical intervention using a laser.
Why a laser?
Laser removal is the gold standard of modern dermatocosmetology, allowing you to effectively and safely destroy pigment in the skin without damaging the surrounding tissue.
Doctor Uskov's clinic uses certified medical lasers of the latest generation, specially designed for working with facial skin and permanent makeup. The equipment allows you to accurately affect the color pigment without the risk of losing natural hairs, burns, scarring or hyperpigmentation.
History of the method
Laser tattoo removal started in the 80s, after the publication of the concept of selective photothermolysis by scientists Anderson and Parrish (1983), which formed the basis of all modern laser dermatology. Since then, the methods have been repeatedly improved, which made it possible to use them in sensitive areas of the face, including the eyebrows.

How is the procedure performed?
Before starting treatment, an in-person consultation is held, during which the doctor:
assesses the skin structure and pigment depth,
determines the number of layers and the composition of the pigment,
if necessary, conducts:
examination under a UV-light,
digital dermatoscopy,
ultrasound examination of the skin.
This helps to predict the number of necessary procedures and minimize risks.
In many cases, the first laser procedure can be performed immediately after the consultation.

What does the patient need to know?
To completely remove permanent makeup from the eyebrows, a course of procedures is required: usually from 3 to 8 sessions, depending on the characteristics of the pigment and skin.
The result depends on many factors, including:
pigment density and depth,
number of tattoo layers,
type and chemical composition of the dye,
individual characteristics of the patient (age, hormonal levels, metabolic rate, skin type).
Eyebrow hairs are preserved — with the right technique and professional equipment, the laser destroys only the pigment without affecting the hair follicles.

Re-done makeup is harder to remove
If permanent makeup has previously been "covered" with a new pigment, this can complicate and lengthen the removal process, since different dyes from different manufacturers are removed at different speeds. Therefore, the sooner you start removing using the right technology, the faster and safer the result.
Individual approach
The results are always individual. We do not make false promises, but we give the most accurate estimate based on examination, diagnostic data and experience. Only during an in-person consultation can you assess the real condition of the skin and choose the optimal treatment strategy.
