Treatment of a benign skin growth near the upper lip

In this patients case it was decided to go forward with laser treatment after a thorough examination and dermatoscopic assessment.
It is important to understand, that not every pigmented skin growth is suitable for laser removal. Choice of technique is always done through clinical observation, dermatoscopy and assessment of individual characteristics of the growth. In many cases the optimal removal method is clinical excision followed by a mandatory histological evaluation.
This is why the choice to remove a growth with a laser is not done by patients request or the location of the growth, but rather a series of medical indications.
